Ways to Nurture Early Childhood Development

Infancy and preschool years are the most crucial time in a child’s life. It’s the time when they are developing new motor, cognitive, language, and social skills. That’s why it’s important to have the nursery and the playroom incorporate within them some elements that promote early childhood development. Toys should not only provide fun but also multi-sensory experiences that engage and cultivate love for learning from a young age. And in order to encourage growth and enrich the play experiences of children, Dr. Eliot and the famous children’s educational toy company VTech offer helpful tips that include the introduction of books in the playroom and reading often to the child, seeking out learning toys that grow with the child, or providing babies with musical instruments like tambourines,maraca, keyboard, and other musical toys to develop their appreciation for music. It would also help to create safe zones in the house where kids can have ample opportunity for physical exertion and exploration, which improves the development of both their minds and bodies, according to Eliot.
