My Pal Dolls

My Pal Dolls are 18 inch dolls which come with booklets about important themes for children to learn from, have fun reading, and also write about, developing their own stories. Loretta Boronat created this collection boy dolls because after successfully launching the My Sibling Dolls brand she wanted to expand the reach of her doll business, and bring her mission of advocacy for people with disabilities to more groups of people.

The broader appeal was focused on boy dolls. Loretta discovered that her idea to make her doll characters available as boys was passionately embraced by mothers and grandmothers who had been searching unsuccessfully for an 18 inch boy doll, thinking there must be such an item. Since most doll companies are only interested in producing and promoting girl dolls, and do not feature an 18 inch boy doll in their line, Loretta discovered that there is quite a demand for the boy dolls she created and branded as My Pal. These handsome dolls are dressed in outfits made here in the United States, of high quality materials and very user-friendly designs, with elastic waists and Velcro-like closures.

The themes that My Pal Dolls address are important ones for children, based on the knowledge Loretta has acquired as a mother and an educator. The slogan for these dolls is “Care, Learn and Have Fun!” which sums up her concept of educating through play. All of the booklets are written and printed here in the United States and are meant to be used by the child who receives the doll as a very personal tool to embrace the theme.

About My Pal Dolls (short summaries of some of the themes)

LorettaRose, LLC created the 18 inch boy doll My Pal series to try to reach more families with our mission. Each doll has an educational or socially relevant purpose.

My Pal for Peace is an 18 inch boy doll with a message for all children: “Peace begins with me!” The message is clearly expressed on the bracelet the doll wears, and is also available in a child size "matching" bracelet, as well as one for adults, too!  (sold separately) 

In the booklet (made in USA) that comes with each doll, they can learn about peacemakers throughout history who have made a big difference in our world. They can also practice being a peacemaker while playing with their doll and the included peace signs which are intended for them to use when they see a situation that might need some peaceful intervention. Space is provided in the booklets for children to write about their own experiences and observations. The lyrics to the song “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” printed with permission, is included in the booklet as an inspiration for children to try to bring peace into their own world.   

My Pal for Going Green is an 18 inch boy doll, with a message for going green in a fun and child-friendly way. In the booklet (made in USA) that comes with each doll they can write about the activities they have participated in for going green and caring for their environment. We print our booklets on recycled paper. My Pal for Going Green dolls are dressed in outfits made in the USA from adult clothing that is cut up and re-sewn into doll clothes.

My Pal the Patriot is a buddy for children who know someone who is serving or has served our country, especially in the armed services, or for children who are just plain interested in patriotism. This 18 inch boy or girl doll can be a comfort to a child who may be missing a loved one who is away on active duty. In the booklet (made in USA) included, children can write their own story about their favorite patriot. This activity can be helpful by giving children the opportunity to put their feelings down in words. There are also two pages with lyrics to American patriotic songs, such as “The Star Spangled Banner.”

My Pal for Autism Awareness is a companion to children who want to learn about or advocate for individuals who have autism. In our booklets (made in USA) that come with each 18 inch boy doll, children can read about how the autism awareness advocacy movement began, and the personal story of how Loretta Boronat, the creator of My Sibling and My Pal, got involved in reaching out to the public in this way. A brief factual description of autism is provided, as well as references for further reading (children’s books) and research. Suggestions for autism awareness activities for children to initiate or participate in are provided. Our booklets also give space for children to write their own story about their experiences with autism awareness activities, or about someone they know who has autism.

My Pal for First Eucharist was the first My Pal doll! In the booklet (made in USA) that comes with each 18 inch boy doll, or girl doll, children can write a story about their First Eucharist sacrament and all the experiences which made the day so special. Hopefully the 18 inch boy or girl My Pal for First Eucharist doll will be preserved as a keepsake for many years to come. Looking back when they are grown, children will treasure the story they wrote, because it will help them to remember all the blessings of the occasion. Our booklets also provide two pages of prayers that children usually learn when they are of age to make their First Eucharist.

My Pal for Tennis was originally designed for the “Rose” of LorettaRose, LLC – namely our daughter, who was a fantastic tennis player at a very young age. These 18 inch boy dolls come with booklets (made in USA) in which children can write about their love for tennis, their experiences with playing tennis, or watching their favorite player. Information is also provided about some famous players, and the four major “grand slam” tournaments. Please note: a small tennis racquet is included as an accessory for display only, it is not to be played with as a real tennis racquet would be.
