My Sibling™ Dolls come with booklets containing real-life stories about developmental differences and the special needs of siblings. The booklets contain factual information about the particular special need being addressed in the story (ie: autism, Down syndrome) along with suggested websites for further resources. Information about the parent company, LorettaRose, LLC’s mission of advocacy for adults with special needs is also provided.
By reading stories about everyday situations that children have to deal with when they have a sibling with special needs, we hope that other children will come to understand better and accept those who learn and grow differently than they do.
Presently, we have six dolls/characters, addressing two special needs: autism and Down syndrome. We hope to address many other developmental differences and medical needs in the future, such as, but not limited to, Cerebral Palsy, Seizure Disorders, Hearing Impairment, Blindness, Childhood Diabetes, Childhood Cancer.
