He notes that most of the parenting materials, services and support available are focused mostly on the mother and relegates the father to a secondary role as a parent. As a result, most new and expectant fathers throughout the world feel ill-equipped at their role and frustrated at the lack of inclusion, involvement, and information. He believes that the solution would be to allow fathers to increase their engagement in raising their sons, to have both parents take on equally important roles in child-rearing, and to start early and educate boys about being good dads.
